An infographic by the team at AutoAnything
Introduction:
Today’s infographic is brought to you by AutoAnything and looks at the maximum speed limit on interstate highways across each of the US states. Remember though this is just a guide and you should always take note of the speed limits depending on which stretch of road you are on.
Information: ★★★
This infographic sets out what it’s supposed to do and that is convey in very simple terms the maximum speed limit across US interstate highways. The use of clouds in different colors makes it easy to distinguish the various speed limits quickly and with ease.
The additional speeding statistics are also very useful if only to help prevent people from speeding! A 12% increase in your insurance policy for being booked between 15-29MPH should be enough to make you reconsider planting that pedal to the metal.
Design: ★★★
I like the use of the American stars and stripes however I thought the colors used for the various states were a bit boring. I would have liked to see some more visually appealing colors rather than browns and dull blues.
Creativity: ★★★
Not an overly creative infographic in my books but again sets out what it’s supposed to do. The topic is useful for those planning to drive from one state to another.
Conclusion:
I would have liked to see a more detailed infographic with various highways highlighted (i.e. Route 66) and possible famous landmarks pinpointed on the map. This would have given the graphic that little something extra and be useful for those wanting to know stop off points for their journey.
